Just curious if anyone is using GENTRAN on the AS/400 and manually pushing things into the queue for processing?

Problem is we have it setup using bisync right now, and are moving to GIS, however I wanted a way to selectively push stuff to GENTRAN while we are in the process of moving to GIS.

I posted over on some of the AS/400 boards and may have come to a solution using CPYFRMSTMF and using a CL to loop through the directory, appending them to the object that GENTRAN can then process.

Any suggestions?

I just want to clarify.........

Are you going to process SOME data on the old (GENTRAN) system while slowly switching over to GIS???

If so - that is what we are doing right now and it is working well. Email me if you want details.

Thanks,
