Default Mapping a XML Doc to your standard EDI Tables / processes?

Just curious. What do you do when you have a new customer that wants to send you XML documents (Far from EDI) and you need to make it work with your existing EDI processes?

I found the best way is to create a temp structure that is compatible with your current EDI solution. It works great in my situation, and not only with XML documents, I did it with a few CSV and other delimited files.

Just curious what others are doing, always looking to learn.

Hello,

Indeed, there's no standard support in GIS to deenvelope X12 or EDIFACT XML messages.

John, can you tell us a little more about your solution, can you still use standard envelopes with it ?

bye bye

I am processing an inbound document with payment information for the shipping industry. I collect the inbound data via an mq adapter which bootstraps a process that does a standard translation. I imported the inbound side of the map from the document schema. The outbound side is defined as jdbc and pushes the data to my interface files on an as400. Works quite well.
